A global warmist waits for his opponents to die
As global warming has, once again, failed to capture the hearts, minds, and wallets of the American taxpayer, it's only natural that some frustration would build among the idea's most ardent advocates. Bill Nye has voiced his frustration in a rather ghoulish manner:
The "Science Guy" said that generationally, the majority of climate change deniers are older.
"Climate change deniers, by way of example, are older. It's generational," Nye told the Los Angeles Times. Nye said that he is calling them out with "due respect," acknowledging that he is "now one of them."
"We're just going to have to wait for those people to 'age out,' as they say," Nye went on, adding that "age out" is a euphemism for "die." "But it'll happen, I guarantee you — that'll happen."
Pining for the day when those with whom you disagree drop dead is not exactly a way to win converts to your cause. But we would also take Nye and his ilk more seriously if they could get their story straight on exactly what global warming might mean for the future. According to the list complied here -- the phenomenon will cause all sorts of things to happen. Except the conclusions are contradictory (will the Earth's rotation speed up or slow down? Seems global warming theorists are playing both sides of that odd coin).
A more exhaustive, and deeply amusing, list of crises, panics, disasters, and dooms that global warming will visit upon the Earth can be found here.
